    • ANSWER:
As crazy as this may seem it really works.

Products needed witch hazel you can find it in the pharmacy near the peroxide and alcohol. You need mint flavored toothpaste. Surley nothing is instant but I promise if you do this on a daily basis you will start to notice the difference. First you clean your face with the witch hazel. Make sure you get all of the areas of your face. Take the toothpaste and apply small amounts on your breakouts. This will help dry them out and clear them up but you have to leave the paste on overnight. I do this myself and it really works. Now if you have really dry skin it is always good to use a moisturizer the next morning after cleaning your face. The moisturizer will prevent scabbing. Good luck

  8. QUESTION:
How to cover these pimple bumps on my forehead?
Hi I'm new to make up and I was just wondering how to cover these bumps on my forehead, from drugstores products I have oily skin and it makes it harder for me to find things that fit me. Thanks for your help!

    • ANSWER:
Because you have oily skin I wouldn't recommend putting on concealer/foundation. It will just make the pimples look worse, especially in photos. Instead try treating them with a spot treatment, or before you go to bed dab a little toothpaste on them. This will dry them out.

Do you use products such as face scrubs and face masks? This will help you out a lot, and you could find ones suitable for your skin type.

      Hope I helped!

I heard if you stress you get it but i dont alot of people stress more then me and have never got it in their lives. Please Answer ! Thank you

    • ANSWER:
Lots of triggers. For some, diet drinks (with caffeine), foods with artificial sweeteners, like aspertame, will bring them out within hours. If you drink diet drinks a lot--well, it's a problem. And don't forget that many toothpastes, mouthwashes, and gum have ingredients that will aggravate cold sores.

Some lip plumpers/glosses may have ingredients (like cinnamon) that causes the reaction. Chocolate, nuts, and rice are other foods some associate with outbreaks.

Take a look at all of it, food, drinks, cosmetics. The culprit may be among them.

      Hope this helps.

  16. QUESTION:
Has any one had a huge bump zit that just wont pop? How do i pop and clean it out?
I know its gross but i have the wierdest pimple behind my sideburn(dont know how to refer to it in girl terms) and in front of my ear. Its a strange little spot but the bump is huge . I want to pop it and clean it up asap.

    • ANSWER:
My advice is not to pop it...you will be left with even bigger red bump for next few days and maybe even a scar after it "heals".
      - You should try On the spot treatments or toothpaste both may help by drying it out so it fades faster.

But if you really want to pop it here is the instruction on :

How to "safely pop a pimple" :

      1. Disinfect a needle with rubbing alcohol. A basic sharp sewing needle is a good choice.

      2. Gently prick the pimple’s surface
      .
      3. Take two tissues and wrap your index fingers with them.

      4. Squeeze from the sides, confidently but gently, using a down-and-in motion. Don’t force it. If the pimple is ready, it’ll pop. If it doesn’t, leave it be. Be sure to stop if clear fluid or blood starts to come out.

      5. Continuing to work at a lesion that is not ready to be popped will most definitely introduce unnecessary irritation, and can also increase the chance of scarring. Walk away from the mirror!

As a antiaging consultant I have heard them all from smearing honey to toothpaste, apple cider vinagar and even fish guts..There are only two proven products and one is very painful and dangerous. We all heard the horror stories of Botox..The other is the only product I have seen that really works with no poking or painful surgery, the product is called Strivectin-SD ..You can purchase it at any of the higher end Dept stores for a whopping price of 5.00 for a five oz tube or you can buy it on eBay for only 35.00..that just goes to show you the mark up on this product .Do not buy it from any overseas sellers because it is not the real deal. I have purchased over 30 units from this seller for my clients and it really has remarkable effects that you can see in less than two weeks of use. The link is below:

  18. QUESTION:
What are these small red bumps on the tip of my tongue?
They are around the tip of my tongue and around the sides. They are pretty sensitive. I have two thoughts on why. One is that I've been using a new toothpaste that I could be allergic to, and two, it could be an infection because I have a chipped tooth that I tend to mess around with and I think I mightve cut my tongue and bacteria might have gotten into it. Any thoughts?
And to clear anything up, it shouldnt be Herpes... and yeah. Haha self explanatory.

I need to know if there are any side effects because I have to get rid of bumps on my penis.

    • ANSWER:
No, only if it's the whitening kind.
But whatever you do, don't use Listerine.

Also, those bumps are normal, 60% of guys have them, unless you're talking about genital warts, in which case, cut them off and douse in rubbing alcohol, or remove with liquid nitrogen.

  20. QUESTION:
How do I prevent small acne bumps from becoming bigger?
How do i prevent the small bumps/pimples from becoming those big ass zits that leave scars when you pop them? i use erythromycin 2% but it doesnt really seem to prevent them from getting bigger (kill the germs). I just have mild teenager acne but its a bitch having a bump on your face for afew days. All answers are appreciated!

ps. This question is how to prevent pimples that are already there from getting bigger, Thanks

    • ANSWER:
Spots/pimples are defined as raised red bumps. I've treated hundreds of patients who are worried about colour, size and duration of pimples (sorry, not to boast), and I can tell you now that acne will not go away in a day or two. There is NO QUICK FIX. It won’t just go away by itself. Acne is caused by a rise in androgen hormones (primarily testosterone) and this obviously occurs in adolescents going through puberty. These androgen hormones tell your sebaceous glands how much oil to produce, and too many hormones give too many signals for more and more oil. Thus, your oil glands grow bigger in order to accommodate for the 'more oil' command. Obviously, excess oil then mixes with dead skin cells and bacteria to clog up your pores.
So my advice is topical antibiotic such as duac WITH retinoids containing adapalene AND of course, an antibiotic, doxy or minocycline. That's if you want to kill it as quickly as possible (6-12 weeks unfortunately). Antibiotics are obviously for more severe acne so it’s really up to you whether you think your acne is severe or not.
For maintaining the occasional single breakouts, here is what i propose.
Pimples are any indication of inflammatory acne. Inflammation is the result of blood vessels and white corpuscles rushing to the site of the pimple to help attack the bacteria we call P.acnes for short.
Now swelling, is a direct result of inflammation. What a lot of people don't actually know, is that the swelling of a pimple can actually spread acne.
This is because when the skin swells, the pores around the pimple tighten and close up, blocking the sebum's discharge route.

BP 5% or 10% (benzoyl peroxide) usually is fine for 'speeding up' the process of eradicating P.acnes but the trick is to apply ice over the area first IN PREPARATION for the BP. This preparatory technique increases the penetration of BP as well as reducing swelling and inflammation.

      Let me explain.
I'm sure you know that inflammation and swelling from sports injuries are dealt with ice.
The principle is the same here.
By applying ice on for 1 minute before applying BP, then another ten minutes with the BP on,
you slow the rate that blood vessels/white corpuscles rush to the site of the pimple.
Thus, the redness, inflammation and swelling is reduced.
Now, patients often say to me, '"But doesn't that mean less WBC (white blood cells) are rushing to the site to kill the P.acnes bacteria?"
That question is absolutely right. Yes, less WBC are rushing to the site.

HOWEVER, this is only temporary for as long as the ice is applied. The upside of this is that a new rush of WBC and red blood cells rush in AFTERWARDS to rewarm the area. They do so gradually so that there is no sudden new inflammation.

Here is the explanation more simply:
Swelling of the pimple closes surrounding pores and spreads the condition.
      Ice reduces inflammation and swelling.
Therefore, ice open pores around and on the pimple.
BP can penetrate deeper through open pores.

Secondly, miracle healings don't happen overnight.I always believe benzoyl peroxide is never enough because most doctors give BP as a spot treatment just for the pimple. The thing is that more pimples come up around the place and in places never seen before because those areas are not treated.
I usually recommend my patients with retinoids containing adapalene, but it's up to you really.
Last point. All the bullshit you hear about tea tree oil, lemon juice, toothpaste, vitamin e oil, etc. helping you? USELESS. As a dermatologist, I've worked for over 10 years and the evidence for these 'home remedies' is absolutely crap. Please don't waste your time with these. To get to the problem of acne, you can't just spot-treat pimples with these things, acne is caused by overactive sebaceous glands from excessive androgen hormones, dead skin cells and clogged pores. It's a complex process and there is no quick fix. Sorry, but the truth is sometimes ugly to hear. I always want to tell my patients the ugly truth. THERE IS NO QUICK FIX. It’s an ugly truth, but it’s the truth nonetheless.

EXERCISE and DIET – I always say that healthy skin comes from having a healthy body
With regards to exercise, I always tell my patients that 30 mins a day for 4-5 days a week is enough. Exercise produces sweat which is anti-bacterial and cleans out toxins. But just in general, exercise (and a good diet) do SO MUCH MORE beyond superficial acne and pimples. If you don't do exercise for your acne, do it for your body and your life.
In general, top diet tips I always tell my patients is to take in lots of omega-3, esp. from fish and linseeds. If I put it simply, omega-3 = good prostaglandins = strong liver = liver is able to detoxify any excess androgen hormones quickly = less/no acne. Sorry if this isn’t enough coverage.

  21. QUESTION:
How to get rid of acne bumps by my top lip?
I have three bumps right on the 'outline of my top lip (towards the left). They were three whitehead ones, and were really swollen and painful. I did pop one. They're still there a bit, but they're dried up and still sore. any idea how I can get rid of them? they're really bothering me since they're so visible.
plus I have another small zit coming up on the right side of my top lip too! I don't normally have a lot of problems with acne, but these ones won't go away.

    thank you!

    • ANSWER:
Yes, the toothpaste and acne cream work, but just waiting them out works the best. The toothpaste can leave scars, and acne cream doesn't work for a lot of people. Don't squeeze them the day you see them. Wait until they are "ready." Most of the pimples you'll get around your mouth are the ones filled with white puss or the ones that you can squeeze a little round bud out of. With the former, I'd take some tweezers and open it up so you can squeeze the fluid out (this actually doesn't hurt). If some blood comes out as well, don't be spooked, that usually--if not always--happens. The latter tend to be easier to handle because you just squeeze and out pops a little ball (you may need tweezers for these, though); in both cases, just be patient. After they're all squeezed out, then put some acne cream on it. But I really only suggest toothpaste for desperate measures--it leaves burn scars for weeks if not done properly.

And I don't know what kind of acne "xobeyond the stars" has, but zits like this don't go away over night--you have to take matters into your own hands, LOL.

  25. QUESTION:
How to get rid of Red Bump on Face?
I have a red bump on my nose and its been there for two weeks already. At first, I started using the Clearsil Benzoyl Cream and the Clean & Clear Acne Wash every night to try to dry it out, but it didn't seem to work. I didn't pop it because I didn't want to risk getting another scar. Does anyone know any other ways to get rid of it?

    • ANSWER:
I know this will sound odd but white toothpaste helps lol
It dries up the pimple and it reduces redness. I would leave the toothpaste on the pimple for about 5 minutes or until it gets hard.
Then what you can do is put rubbing alcohol on like a kleenex or cotton pad and just dab it.

  26. QUESTION:
Should I use toothpaste on my skin?
I have some red bumps on my skin and would love for them to go away. I read about putting toothpaste on the bumps and leaving it on overnight, and I was just wondering- does it work? I have heard that it is harmful to your skin, but I don't mind damaging it a little bit as long as the bumps go away. Thanks!
P.S does it leave your skin red after using it?

  27. QUESTION:
how do you get rid of old acne bumps and redness?
i don't have acne, but i have lots of really small bumps and redness left over from a few years ago, how do i get rid of them?

    • ANSWER:
Try smashing one tablet of aspirin in a small bowl, then adding lemon juice to the mixture. Aspirin is acetesalicylic acid, chemically related to salicylic acid. Apply to the affected areas overnight. It boosts the healing process while reducing redness.

Try putting toothpaste (paste, NOT gel) on your face, cover it with a bandage, and keep it on all night. When you wash it off in the morning your acne will look better. The astringent and surfactant nature of the toothpaste will help diminish the appearance of pimples. But the toothpaste has been known to burn sensitive skin of the face, so be careful. If your face does burn, stop acne treatments and work on healing your burn.

Try using Bentonite Clay, a natural mineral powder which has been known to absorb impurities and help neutralise the skin's oiliness, and can be found online. Mix 2 tablespoons with a dash of cold water and smooth over the face as a thick paste. Once dried gently wipe off with a flannel or sponge.

Another way to zap pimples is shaving cream. Apply it to your pimple and it will dry it up. It disappears by morning, but washes your face after waking up. If nothing is working for you, drink four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted with water daily. It works very well for some people and is worth a try. Another good solution is aloe Vera gel fresh from the plant, taken orally.

      All the Best...

  28. QUESTION:
How do I get rid of this bump?

    • ANSWER:
poke a hole in it and squeeze the fuck out of it, and then use toothpaste

  29. QUESTION:
Has one had bad side effects from Crest pro health toothpaste?
Man please don't buy this shit. After a week of using this crap, my mouth seems like it will be fucked up for some time to come. My tongue turned white. And so did my daugthers. The crap is slowly coming off. The freaking mouthwash turned my mother's teeth brown. The tip of my tongue felt like it was onfire. To top it off, the corners of my mouth were tight like i had botox or something. The bumps that broke out around my mouth are finally gone. This is the most bizarre thing ive ever seen.

    • ANSWER:
i used it for maybe half a year and i don't know why i bought it twice. what it did to me was irritate (or dry out? i don't know, it didn't feel dry) the inside of my mouth, so it was like the insides of my cheeks were peeling!! i switched back to colgate advanced fresh and the peeling stopped!

also, for color problems, apparently the BLUE toothpaste and the BLUE mouthwash are more likely to dye your teeth. the cinnamon (white with red flecks) and the GREEN mouthwash are less likely to leave stains.

i'm not sure about the white tongue or the burning feeling on your tongue or the rest, though. maybe call the company and complain. because they should know that people are having bad reactions. and who knows, they might send you a coupon for free crest products. obviously you wouldn't buy crest pro health, but other crest toothpastes probably would not bother you? :)

  30. QUESTION:
What is the quickest way to get rid of large zits that are deep under the skin?

I used to breakout in acne due to oily skin myself. Genetic and Stress can affect hormones and can theoretically promote acne. Here are some home remedies that can help but do not mix them together.
You want to make sure you exfoliate your face every other day. before putting any application on face for acne. Rinse with cool water then pad dry.

      1) Tea Tree Oil- An essential oil is diluted and applied topically to acne lesions.
      2) Lemon oil or juice - Applied lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to face or you can drink it through using it in water a few drops a day. You can leave overnight don't expose yourself to sunlight. Will help with both acne, and scars as well.
      3) Mandarin oil
      4) Cedar wood – good for eczema, psoriasis
      5) Lavender
      6) Apple cider vinegar

      11) Zinc really works on acne
      12) 2% Erythromycin
      13) Benzoin Peroxide
      14) Hydrogen Peroxide 3% - It can help to dry out acne by killing bacteria on the skin. Soak a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide and apply it either to the acne breakouts on your face. You also may opt to apply hydrogen peroxide to your entire face to help prevent future breakouts. Allow the hydrogen peroxide to do its job -- wait until the bubbling stops in approximately a minute or two. Rinse your face with water. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to prevent skin from drying out.
      15) Vitamin B3- also known as niacin. It promotes healthy skin, can be utilized as an acne treatment.
      16) Retinoid- increase collagen production and plump fine lines, making it a good choice if you’re dealing with acne and wrinkles.

      18) Coconut oil good for acne and scars.
      19) Turmeric powder is also good for acne.
      20) Neutrogena products

This is something I use every day and I got rid of my cystic acne and my eczema. I really recommend this. Neem oil: It is powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties, beneficial to those who suffer from various skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin ulcers, helps one treat hair related problems like dandruff and itchy scalp. Dental care products like toothpaste, mouth washes and rinses all use the neem oil's antiseptic properties to keep teeth health and gums free of infection. Other benefits also include its use in household items like mosquito repellents, disinfectants and personal hygiene products. If you like you can purchase at Lucy Vitamin or in health food stores. It is the same price as some of the acne medications, either prescribe or over-the-counter.

  31. QUESTION:
How do i get rid of the white coating and red bumps at the back of my tongue?
I usually brush my tongue by dipping my toothbrush in my mouthwash are there any other alternatives like salt water or something else i would love to buy a tongue scraper but my parents think most dental products are unnecessary so i cant use a tongue scraper i tried using a tea spoon but it made my red bumps bleed

    • ANSWER:
Don't use mouthwash with alcohol - which most contain.
It can dry your mouth and gums which can lead to dental and mouth issues.
Companies just put alcohol in it to carry a flavor and feel a "zing" as if you've cleaned your mouth but it's worthless and can be harmful.
Mouthwash in general is a waste of money.

The white coating on tongues is often normal unless it's thick and that can be a condition called thrush. It can also be dehydration so drink more water if you don't drink much.
Or if you take certain medicines like steroids for asthma, it can leave behind a coating.
      See link below.

Sounds like you're too irritating your tongue, too, so don't brush too hard and just use toothpaste, salt water, baking soda or vinegar/water mix might also work better than mouthwash.

So what brand of toothpaste works best on pimples. I don't want to ruin my face more but putting the wrong stuff on. I use Macleans normally on my teeth so will that do for my pimple? And I'm not joking lol!

1st time i did it- it gave me a big scab, which made the pimple more obvious
2nd time i did it- it worked, exsept it gave me purple acne scars/spots where the pimple was!!

      try this face mask instead

try this face mask recipe! it works in like 1 day:

      alright, heres what you'll need:
2 teaspoons of finely ground oats. (uncooked. more people dont have finely ground, so just put them in the blender or something)
      2 teaspoons of baking soda

a facial moisteriser (oil free. make sure it wont clog pores. the heavier duty, the better)

      steps:
      1. mix the baking soda and oats together
      2. add just enogh water to the oats and baking soda to make a thick paste. (dont underwater though!)
      3. lightly wet your face with a washcloth
      4. apply mixture all over your face, then rinse off with a wash rag or hands.
      5. wait 10 minutes, and then apply a facial moisterizer (if your skin feels too dry you can wait 5 minutes)

      * if you have extreamly dry skin, or sensitive skin, i dont know if you will want to use this
      * works well on white bumps on your face and red ones.
      * you will probebly have to use it more than once to see results (i have been using it for 4 days each night, and already all the white bumps from my forhead are gone! my skin is practicly clear!)

      * this can dry out your skin a lot, so make sure to moisterize a lot during the day

This mask RECIPE worked wonders for me! hope it works for you(:

  34. QUESTION:
How do you get rid of redness and swelling in acne quickly using home remedies?
I have moderate acne on my forehead, nose and chin. Most of it's small bumps but some are large and red. I was my face 2-3 times a day and don't eat alot of junk food. Does anyone know how to decrees the redness and reduce the size of acne noticeably in like 3 days? Thanks for the help.

    • ANSWER:
My skin is REALLY sensitive. Any harsh chemicals turn my face red.
For my remedy, you only need an apple and natural toothpaste.

**Get an apple, and spread its juices over your face. This helps your skin glow. Vitamin C and E are extremely excellent for the skin.

***Then add natural toothpaste on pimples to dry them out. Have a good night sleep and they are gone in the morning. :)

Be sure to eat cucumbers, nuts, apples to help your bloodstream.

Avoid your cleansers and choose another if they bring out some redness. Hope this helps!

  35. QUESTION:
does toothpaste work on redness and bumps on your skin?
i have really bad acne and iv'e tried everything(witch hazel, proactiv, clearasil) i'm gettiing desperate and i'm ready to try anything so if toothpaste doesn't work what are some other home remidies.
like i said iv'e done everything you see on t.v clearasil neutrragina everything. and sorry to say but i sometimes do use coverup i'm not a sissy it's just the things aren't cool looking.

    • ANSWER:
Toothpaste *may* work, but most of the time it turns the bump/blemish an odd colour, which isn't nice. It can also dry out or get infected if you use toothpaste.

I'm not sure about other home remedies. Most of the ones I've heard of probably don't work. Oh, if someone tells you to use lemon juice, don't. That's horrible for your skin and it won't work right.

Ice is always helpful to reduce redness and swelling. You're a guy, so you probably wouldn't use cover up or anything, would you? But if I have a blemish, I use some 'spot treatment,' ice, and then cover up.

Oh, make sure you're using a good face wash. I use that Clean&Clear Morning Burst stuff. I rarely get blemishes since I started using it. And I'm not sure if it'll work for you or not, but I use the Mary Kay acne treatment gel when I get blemishes. It seems to work well. I either use that, Clinique, or Clearisil. Clearisil normally doesn't work that well on bigger ones. Clinique is *very* strong. If you use it, make sure to moisturize. It will seriously dry out your skin.

      I hope I was helpful.

  36. QUESTION:
What are some good remedies for ingrown hairs?
I have some red bumps on my thighs and upper arms that I'm pretty sure are ingrown hairs. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
A few years back in Cosmo I read how white toothpaste with a little water used over pimples and ingrown hairs will clear it up. What you do is at night right when you are getting ready for bed you dab a good amount of white toothpaste on your palm and mix it with a little water to get it pasty. Then you put it on your pimples or other bumps and let it sit all night as you sleep. The next morning there should be a noticeable difference after you have washed off the remaning toothpaste. I know this sounds crazy but it really works!! I do this all the time!

How to prevent pimples/bumps from growing?
Every single morning and night i wash my face with a warm wet face towel.
Put every morning i see a new bump/pimple on my cheek or my forehead.

What can i use to prevent this from happening without using any face cream?

    • ANSWER:
      How to cure a pimple

      1. Wash you skin thoroughly and pat it dry with clean towel.
      2. Wrap an ice cube in a washcloth and hold it over the spot for a minute or two; it'll help bring down the swelling.
      3. Dip the end of a cotton swab into some diluted tea tree oil (available at any pharmacy, and trust me, this oil was meant for the skin!) and dot a tiny amount directly into the pimple.
      4. Leave it alone to heal. Don't pop, pinch, or squeeze pimples, it will only make it worse.

Also, you can dab a bit of toothpaste, alcohol, or vinegar to pimple before going to bed each night. When you wake up the pimple will be gone. Tis is because toothpaste, alcohol, and vinegar will dry the oil out of pimples.

This works SOOOO well! I'm not kidding, and you got to try it!

  43. QUESTION:
    Does toothpaste work on spots?
Okay so I have a pretty big breakout right now - 8 spots on my face and 5 on my forehead (these are not just small spots either) I really need to get rid of them asap because I have a concert in 3 days and I want to look my best. I have tried some of the recommended remedies and next on the list is toothpaste but what do you think - does it work? Also I will take any other suggestions to get rid of these 13 red annoying circles on my face! Thank you so much for help.

    • ANSWER:
Please don't use toothpaste, I learned the hard way. I would put toothpaste on my bumps and they would burn my skin like I would leave it on for a while and when I took it off my bump would be burnt, scarred, hurting and red. I'm begging you please don't use tooth paste. Toothpaste is designed for oral hygiene ONLY not skin. But anyways, I use Neutrogena Pink GrapeFruit cleansing wash, and my bumps seem to disappear in the next morning. I'd also use a acne wash. I don't get pimples or have acne but I get bumps, the cleansing wash seems to help. Get down to your local drugstore and find something!

  44. QUESTION:
How To Prevent Bumps On My Face?
I do not have acne, but I get this bumps on my face, and pimples, I have the cleansear like clear-isl but for some reason they make me break out more.

What can I do to make my face clear very quickly.
I also use alchoal on my face in the morning..

    • ANSWER:
It's your hormones that produces acne. Genetics can cause acne.

      - get a face wash. Wash your face twice per day: morning and night.
      - Use sunscreen everyday.
      - Use benzoyl peroxide whenever you have a zit. Do not pop your zit as that can leave a scar. Toothpaste also helps. Use the whitening one, not the gel toothpaste.
      - If possible get a kit like Pro-Active. Use the three step program to get rid of your acne.

◙ Wash your face consistently and everyday to see results.
◙ If your acne is really bad and severe, then you can go to the dermatologist to prescribe you Accutane or acne drugs that could help you get rid of your acne.
◙ If the drugs doens't work, then it could be a hormonal problem.

  45. QUESTION:
How do you get rid of those bumps on your forehead?
I have bumps like under my skin on my forehead..

I'm not sure how noticeable they are because there are very subtle, but i need to get rid of them, they are so annoying!

They are above my nose somewhat in the middle of my forehead. They feel like acne.. or just a weird shaped bump, except completely under the skin...!

    Please give me any tips!

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THESE? They're so weird..

    • ANSWER:
I sometimes have them too. :) on my forehead. usually caused by clogged up oil and dirt. Scrub once-twice a week, (gently, you don't want to make them worse), tone after every wash, especially your t-zone and hair line, (don't wash more than 3 times a day, or you'll dry up your skin making it produce even more oil), and blot your face when needed.

that's for oily skin anyway, but toothpaste really does work but caution: it might cause pimples to ripen in order to get rid of the dirt inside. :)

If you have any qns abt my answer, feel free to contact me.

      Hope this helps,
      V.

Try putting a small dab of toothpaste onto each one and leave on overnight, or sometimes vick's vapor rub works too! If that doesn't work,, try going for a nice face mask. :)

  47. QUESTION:
How do you get rid of pimples in a day or two?
I'm forming pimples above my lips, how do you get rid of it? How do you get rid of the pimples that are already starting to form? There's two bumps and I don't want to wait till its ready to pop. Whenever I pop my pimples it turns into scars. How do I get rid of these pimples in a day or two without scarring?

    • ANSWER:
Other than washing your face a lot : (This is for pimples)

Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.

Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.

Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. This might also make your skin dry.

      Drink plenty of water.

Pimple Removal : (only do this on pimples that have formed a head)

Prepare for a small surgical pimple removing procedure. You'll need a small sewing needle, a bottle of alcohol, some gauze (or a small band-aid), and some warm water. Some people think you'll need to run a needle through a flame. This isn't Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Rubbing alcohol will do.
Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Also, dip a majority of the needle in the alcohol, and for safe measure apply some of that alcohol to your fingers and the pimple--dabbing with some gauze to dry the area.
Prick the white part of the pimple very lightly with the tip of your needle. Once you've done that, put two small squares of gauze on either side of the pimple and apply pressure with two fingers to ensure that the remaining puss is squeezed out of the pore, retaining pressure until clear liquid appears. When clear liquid or blood appears, you'll know the pimple is gone.
Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

  50. QUESTION:
How do you clear up blemishes overnight?
The problem is really on my forehead and nose and kinda around my nose. It's not acne. I have bumps all over but not reddish or hurts or anything. If you could give me some tips and remedies, it cud be great! thx!

    • ANSWER:
idk if u can get rid of it over night, but you can try washing you face every morning and night with some kind of acne cleanser. best if it has benzoyl peroxide in it. most acne cleansers have salicylic acid, but i use this kind from clean and clear that comes in a purple tubeish thing and contains benzoyl peroxide. this really helps. and also wash right after exercise, since the sweat will clog your pores unless you wash them. and, some people say, after they wash their face at night, they put toothpaste on the pimple, it dries up by morning, and the pimple is gone. this only works on certain people though, so im not sure it'll help. you can also do this with baking soda and a little water to make a paste, then put it on your pimple. good luck!
and btw the benzoyl peroxide will bleach your towels and stuff if it touches it, so try not to get it on fabric.
