When I pull my foreskin back, it is very red and there are many small white bumps. What could this be?
This is not an std because I have never had sex, and it does not hurt or itch. Also, how could I get rid of the redness and the little white bumps. I have had them for about 4 years and they have not gotten better or worse. I am 19 if it helps. Thanks in advance.

    • ANSWER:
Sounds like you are normal man... The head, if that's what you mean, is suppose to be red. It is sensitive mucus tissues that should be kept moist. The little white spots, I am guessing are around the ridge of the head? These are fordyce spots, and are very normal. they are not contagious or dangerous. A lot of intact (non-circumcised) guys have them.

Never use soap under the foreskin. It can irritate the sensitive tissues on the head and inner foreskin. it will also remove essential oils that are actually beneficial to your penis health.

Relax and enjoy your foreskin John, you are a normal intact man.

Hope this helped put your mind at ease a bit...

    • ANSWER:
Sounds like you might have chiggers?

Are these under tight clothing or contact areas?

Smother them with a thick coat of vaseline over affected areas.
I also often use hydrogen peroxide on skin problem areas which also helps relieve itching, but this won't stop the chiggers alone. This may sting a bit at first. Just tolerate & allow to air dry. Takes a bit of time to show improvement, usually a couple of hours or overnight. Don't use too often.

try and get my derm. to give me good treatment for severe acne?

    • ANSWER:
have you tried other prescription methods? Acutane is VERY dangerous, especially if you are female. There are a lot of differant appts. and meds. you have to take before going on acutane. Also, as a user of everything from Acutane, to Proactive, to just the stuff on the counter at Walgreens, the best thing I have recieved is a combo of:

      Benzoyl Peroxide 8% (wash...2x a day)
      Tazorac (topical.... at night)
      Duac Gel (topical...morning)
      and
      Bactrum (pill... 2x a day)

also, I see a lot of people are recommending proactive. FOR ME- it made my skin worse, Dry, irratated, more broken out, and at sometimes my skin had an almost waxy feel to it

    • ANSWER:
Don't worry man. Sounds like you might have fordyce spots. They are very common and most guys get them. They are just small skin colored bumps that don't itch or cause pain and are completely NOT contagious. Most guys get them in their teens and they will go away on their own. Don't try to pop them or scratch them off, that can cause infections and make things worse. They are sweat glands or hair follicles and are no problem.

  16. QUESTION:
What causes a pimple on the breast?
I had a little white bump like a pimple on the side of my breast a couple of weeks ago that was a bit tender, but now it is red and very tender. Sometimes it itches but I can't scratch it because it hurts. Any Idea what causes it?

    • ANSWER:
Acne can happen anywhere on your body and the breast is no exception. Just keep it clean and wash your breasts well. Since the breast is very sensitive a pimple can be very painful. You can put a bandaid over it if your bra is rubbing on it.
Sweat, dirt, and definitely deodorant can clog the pores in your skin and can cause pimples. If it comes to a head and it's painful just pop it. It might hurt but it will go away after that.

  17. QUESTION:
what medication can i take over the counter for herpes? Until I see a doctor is there something I can buy?
I dont have insurance currently I am in the process but I think I may have herpes because I have little white bumps inside my vagina they dont hurt or anything but what could this be? Have anyone ever experience this or heard of this before?

    • ANSWER:
You can get Lysine over the counter at health food stores. It's a natural antiviral that can treat herpes. They may also sell topical creams. Bumps are not a good indicator of herpes. Herpes is usually painful or at least causes some itching burning and or tingling symptoms. It could be genital warts or razor burn since they don't hurt. Don't treat it before getting this diagnosed (you don't want to have nasty side affects from some thing you may not need), once you get insurance get tested for herpes.

    • ANSWER:
Eczema is a skin condition characterized by redness, cracking, oozing and scaling of the skin. This may be caused by the extremes of heat and cold and even emotional stress. The patient usually complains of itching and burning in the skin, especially at the night. Sores appear on various parts of the body, but most often on the hands, feet, ears and legs. Eczema may come on at any time of life and in either sex. The commoner manifestations are erythema changing to papule, vesicle, crust, scale and fissure, with serous exudation. In chronic cases, thick scales accumulate.

This is the effect of local irritation by chemical, thermal, or mechanical agents in a hypersensitive individual, subject of an allergy or constitutional disabilities such as gout, chronic nephritis, rheumatism, local sepsis, dyspepsia, alcoholism, uterine disturbances also teething .in some cases heredity may be found.

Papules, vesicles and pustules with some degree of local oedema are found; exudation, crusting and scaling with inflammation of varying severity may be present. These tend to spread to the contiguous areas.

One or both cheeks of an infant or the ear, limbs or trunk are occasionally involved. In adults also similar papulo- vesicular eruptions appear. Sensations of burning, smarting, throbbing or itching are present, according to the acuteness of the process and severity of the inflammation.

When chronic the discharge diminishes or disappears, leaving a thickened, irregular, scaly patch, fading at the margins. The best way to take care of eczema at home is to keep dry, patchy skin moist and well lubricated. Children with eczema are most often allergic to eggs, milk, peanuts, wheat, soy, fish and tree nuts, although a child is usually allergic to only one or two of those foods.

      HOME REMEDIES FOR ECZEMA
      * Oatmeal bath is useful for patients suffering from eczema. For the bath, pour 2 cups of colloidal oatmeal into a tub of lukewarm water
      * Cotton clothing is the best for the skin and is much better than either wool or polyester, especially wool. Avoid synthetics or itchy fabrics, as well as tight- or ill-fitting clothes.
      * Daily bathing is not necessary, as it tends to make alreadydry skin even drier. Instead, you can sponge bathe the parts of the body that really need it--the hands, face, neck, armpits and (for babies) the diaper area.
      * A moisturizer or soap should be avoided as they can contain fragrances that will trigger a flare-up of eczema. Look for products that are fragrance-free.
      * Avoid overdressing your child unnecessarily at night, because getting too hot can make the rash worse.
      * Stress can trigger eczema or make it worse. Try to reduce the stress.
      * Make a paste by adding 1 tsp camphor to 1-teaspoon sandalwood and apply on the affected eczema areas.
      * Make a paste by rubbing a nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and. Apply to affected eczema area.
      * Apply Crisco 2-3 times a day is said to not only make you greasy, but eczema free.
      * Coconut oil may be applied to the areas with eczema.
      * Add carrot juice and spinach juice and apply to the affected area.
      * Drink plenty of water and take fruit juices like orange.
      * Make a paste by adding 1 tbls turmeric powder to a tbls of bitter neem leaves. Apply to the affected areas.
      * Deficiency of vitamin B6 may also cause eczema. So increase your intake of vitamin B6.
      * Evening primrose oil can also help. It contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is helpful in curing the eczema.
      * Take watercress every day. It helps to cure the eczema, along with a daily drink of parsley, spinach, celery, and wheat grass.
      * Add 1 Tbsp. Vinegar,1 Tbsp. Honey. Mix together with water and drink all at once.
      * Neem has been used for treating all sorts of skin problems for centuries. It contains Nimbidol and Gedunin, which have excellent fungicidal properties. Crush some neem leaves and apply to the affected area. It will immediately give relief.
      * Basil (tulsi) is extremely effective in treating skin disorders as it is a blood purifier and kills bacteria.
      * Crush the garlic clove and mix it with half a cup of hot water in a pan. Soak a clean washcloth in the solution and then apply to the affected areas only.
      * Add five drops of castor oil in half a cup of any fruit or vegetable juice, or plain water, and take on an empty stomach in the morning, is beneficial for any kind of skin disease.
      * One or two bananas a day are useful for those who are allergic to certain foods and who consequently suffer from skin rashes, such as in eczema.
      * Foods which should be excluded from the diet are tea, coffee, chocolate, cola drinks, alcohol, sugar and products made from it, refined cereals, meats, fish, chicken, tobacco, milk, cheese, butter, smoked and salted pickled foods, and foods containing any chemical additives, preservatives and flavorings.
      * Try to do some prevention techniques such as relaxation, exercise, meditation, and mind control.

I have little white bumps on the inside of my lips on my vagina.?
I had unprotected sex a few days ago, and I itch really bad down there... and there is little white bumps. i have never noticed them before, but i have never looked either.Do i have warts? If anyone has any information please let me know.

    • ANSWER:
It sounds like you have an infestation of gynophilic spasmotropic heliopods (GSH ticks). Do you often sit for hours? Do you have more than average body hair? Do you often need a few minutes to become fully awake in the morning? Do the late evenings and nights find you becoming increasingly sleepy? If so, then these elements could be symptomatic of a GSH infestation.

These fairly common arthropods are attracted to the wet, dank, hairy, and moderately unclean areas of the body. While more common in the sub-tropic regions of the world, they are becoming more prevalent in the temperate and northern climes due to increased air travel and population migration.

An empregnated GSH (they are hermaphrodic and produce both ovum and spermatozoa) will borrow into the endothelium and prepare for giving birth. The GSH releases a toxic secretion with necrotizes the surrounding flesh into a stew suitable for the egg bearing mum - this causes the white bumps (the birthing mounds) and if you squeeze them they will release what appears to be "some pus." In actuality it is the liquid nutrition used by the pregnant GSH.

When scratch or wash the area you probably also prematurely released some of the hatchlings onto the surface of your bum. The more mature ones would have immediately burrowed into your skin so that they could survive to full maturity - and full reporductive capacity.

In Papua New Guinea, the treatment consists of liberally applying a solution of chewing tabacco, saliva, and quicklime to the affected area over the course of three months; In the Venezualan jungles, the Yanomao people make a paste of tree monkey urine, fermented plantains, saliva, and wild dog feces - which is worn in a kind of banana leaf diaper until the symptoms have been gone for a month; and, in the hinterlands of Arkansas, a remedy derived from dissolving 40-70 Vicks inhaler sticks in rubbing alcohol overnight and then boiling off the alcohol - and nasally inhaling the resultant crystals is preferred.

      I hope this helps.

  29. QUESTION:
So I have a cold sore, does that mean I automatically have herpes?
Because mine doesn't look like the pics I've seen of the little white bumps its just like a regular blister on my lip.

    • ANSWER:
Yes having cold sores or fever blisters means you have oral herpes or HSV1. Oral herpes break outs and symptoms can vary from person to person, what one person has may look and feel totally different from what you have but it's still oral herpes if it's a cold sore. Cold sores are just a nicer name for oral herpes. You can get a test done for oral herpes by your doctor to make sure if you have them or not. They usually come with some itching, burning and or tingling symptoms. If it's relatively painless chances are it could be some thing else. Bumps are not always caused by herpes.
Oral herpes are very common to have, 50-80 percent of the population has cold sores or fever blisters on the mouth. They are often passed on with out having any thing to do with sex. You can get them during child hood by being kissed by some one that has cold sores. But it is very contagious during a break out. So until you can find out what this is you shouldn't kiss any one or give oral sex while you have the bumps to be on the safe side.

  30. QUESTION:
I have little bumps that appear over the hairs on my legs, what are they?

  31. QUESTION:
There's a cluster of bumps on the corner of my left eye?
Yesterday I was experimenting with make-up, and at the outer corner of my left eye started to itch and sting, so I rubbed the make-up off. It continued to itch the rest of the day, and a little white bump grew.

Now, when I woke up this morning the bump grew and it looks like there's more than one bump, and the corner of my eye is swollen.
Help? What is this, and how can I get rid of it?

    • ANSWER:
its probably an allergic reaction to the makeup. Go to your doctor and get some medicine for it. Or give it time to see if it gets better.

  32. QUESTION:
What are these clusters of bumps?
I first noticed a little cluster of bumps on my left thigh about two weeks ago. Then I went on vacation for a week and begin to notice another cluster forming on my right arm. Now I have two more clusters on my right arm, another on my left thigh, one on my stomach, and little white bumps along my left arm. It seems that the cluster starts as one single bump then progress to a cluster. The one on my leg is starting to scab. These clusters do not itch and are not sensitive to the touch. I went to the doctors and he said they could be from stress or the heat. I asked him if it was contagious and he said no, but I still have doubt. I sleep beside my wife every night and she has no sign of these kinds of bumps. Could these bumps be something else like herpes? I am concerned and I am making an appointment with my dermatologist, but can someone help me out until then?

    • ANSWER:
      Dude,

That's a tough one to answer.
If you have been faithful to you better half, then there should be
no problem with HS1 or HS2.
HS1 the mouth area and HS2 is, well...... that other area below.
You said there was no itch, then you probably don't have any
problem, but don't quote me. If you are not sure, have a blood draw done for 1 & 2. Then you will know for sure.

      Good Luck

  33. QUESTION:
How can i tell if it is actually cold sores?
i have had several red bumps with little white cirles on them around my mouth. none of them are actually on or touching my lips but a couple are right below it and the others are probably within a centimeter or 2 of my lips. when i squeeze them white stuff comes out as if they were zits but a few times they get white flakey stuff on the red spot afterwards. i have been using abreva but new ones still keep coming up for over a month now. i do not have acne or pimples anywhere else on my face. also, my lips have been very dry and they get this white gooey stuff on them that wipes right off. are these cold sores and is this herpes?

    • ANSWER:
sounds like cold sores to me.Your face will usually get really itchy in the places its gonna break out,try not to scratch it makes it way worse and spreads it.They start out as lil red bumps that get a white head and look like a pimple and they start to itch or burn a bit. Dont squeeze them, it makes them bigger and can cause more. Most people get them right on or around their lips but they can be pretty much anywhere from nose down to chin.Dont touch your face or share anything,it spreads very easy, wash your hands if you touch your face. It is the herpes virus and you can get cream and a prescription from the doctor which helps with the itching and spreading.

My son broke out in a million little red bumps everywhere. I assumed that he had an allergic reaction to something. So I gave him some benedrly. But someone was saying may be he has measle so I just want to know how would I know?

    • ANSWER:
Affected persons will present initially with cough, runny nose, fever, red eyes and white spots inside the mouth. This is followed 3 to 7 days later by a red blotchy skin rash, which usually spreads from face to the rest of the body. The rash usually lasts 4 - 7 days, but can persist for up to 3 weeks leaving with brownish staining and sometimes fine skin peeling.

What insect is black and white and bites?
It has a long, slender body with a white underbelly. The top of it is black and white stripes. It's about an inch long, perhaps a tiny bit longer. It's wings are black. It flies, but doesn't hover.
I don't think it stings, but it bites and creates little red bumps that itch, like a mosquito bite.
This is also a midwestern area in America.
Any idea what it could be?

    • ANSWER:
      The Zebra fly

  38. QUESTION:
There are these pretty small white bumps on my scrotum and need help.?
I am 15 years old (off course meaning no sexual activity) and there are a bunch of white bumps on my scrotum, they do itch as well. Is this normal? Will it go away? And is there a way to get rid of them with out the embarrassment of talking to parents? Please give a serious answer.

    • ANSWER:
Keep the skin clean, keep it dry, fresh underwear at least once a day, and DON'T SCRATCH you'll make it worse.

My guess: basically tiny little pimples. Guys who shave their balls often get them when the hair grows back. If you think this is what they might be, you could try an over the counter acne med like Persa-Gel, but that stuff can be pretty drying, thus irritating-- use with caution.

Give it 2 weeks, if it's not clearing, see your doc.

  39. QUESTION:

  40. QUESTION:
Do you think this is genital warts?
I'm scared that I have genital warts. I have these very small little white bumps on the outside of my vaginal lips, they are hardly even noticeable. They do not itch, and they do not look at all like those that I've seen in photos online. Do you think that's what it could be? Yes, I have had unprotected sex with a few people as well as protected sex with a number of people in the past few months. The first time I noticed these little bumps was like 3 days after unprotected sex with a new guy. I am going to the doctor, but not for another week or so.

Also, 'down there' but not in the vaginal area, I've been getting pimples, 2 so far on my thigh (close to bikini line, but more on my thigh) and another 1 on my stomach in the crease (sorry for being graphic) where my stomach folds, in the droopy 'kangaroo pouch' that I got from having kids.

    • ANSWER:
The only way to absolutely sure of what you have is to see a physician.

Genital warts usually appear as soft, moist, pink, or flesh-colored swellings, usually in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes cauliflower shaped. They can appear on the vulva, in or around the vagina or anus, on the cervix, and on the penis, scrotum, groin, or thigh. After sexual contact with an infected person, warts may appear within weeks or months, or not at all. The only way to diagnose is to be examined by a doctor.

You should also know that the best way to prevent most STD's, including HIV is by using acondom every time you engaged in sex. For most STD's as well as HIV it only takes one unprotected sex act to become infected.

      Good luck.

Why do I have bumps on my vagina?
I'm 14 and I started shaving a few months ago and I would see little white bumps on my vagina. Now I have a lot of little white bumps. They don't hurt or itch and I'm not sexually active. What are they? Do guys mind if you have them?

    • ANSWER:
They could just be ingrown hairs, that's common when you shave, especially if you the dry shaving (shaving without soap, shaving cream, water). Still, anything new to your pubic area should be checked by a Doctor. Most countries have a free sexual health service.

  45. QUESTION:
How do you get rid of small white heads not like pimples?
It's like small white bumps but it doesn't itch or swell like pimples

    • ANSWER:
Those small white heads are called milia, and the only way to get rid of them, is to go and get a facial. Your esthetician can get rid of them without scarring. Don't try to get rid of them on you own. They are hard little pieces of of bacteria and pus, and come out in one piece. To do so, you have to create a small hole and gently pry them out of your skin. Squeezing or picking will cause scarring, so don't do this at home. You can also go to your dermatoligist to get this done, but it's more expensive. If you get them on your back, it's because you are wearing cotton shirts while working out. The cotton hold your sweat next to your skin which causes your skin to reabsorb the bacteria that your skin sweated out.

  46. QUESTION:
I have 3 white bumps in my breast what are they?
I have noticed little white bumps in my breast! might i be pregnant??? My breast aren't sore or anything they do itch a little does anybody know?
extra nipple?? but i never had it?

    • ANSWER:
If this is the only symptom you have I doubt you're pregnant. These bumps COULD be due to pregnancy but are more likely sweat glands, or hair follicles. If you have other symptoms that are pointing to pregnancy then by all means take a test, but I wouldn't base it on these little bumps.

  47. QUESTION:
Is my son allergic to one dog in particular?
I have a three year old son ,and just adopted a dachsund puppy. He has been around other dogs and has had no problem,I brought this dog home and my son started playing with him,and now is breaking out in little bumps and itching.Me myself have started itching after i have handled the dog .I have give him two baths and it still is happening.I am not allergic to dogs and do not believe him to be either. Please give me any information you can on this question,he has had his first shots and wormed also.He is also a registered dog and has papers.

    • ANSWER:
As a vet tech, I have seen this happen to others like you. This is probably not an allergic reaction to your little doxie. All dogs produce allergens, some more or less than others, but doxies are pretty standard as far as that goes.

Think back on your past experiences with dogs. Do they have the same type of coat as your current dog? Sometimes a coarse coated dog will cause irritation on the skin that another type of coat would not have caused. I, myself, have a reaction around Shar Pei dogs that I do not have with others, and that is simply because they have a very, VERY, coarse (you can almost say SHARP), coat.

Another possibility is that perhaps the dog, being so low to the earth and all, may have traipsed through a certain grass or something and this allergen (grass, pollen, something in the dust, etc) is being brought into the house all over his little body and then it is affecting you and your son. Or perhaps it could be an allergic reaction to the shampoo that your dog is bathed in. Or maybe the food your dog is eating is causing certain types of oils to be excreted through your dog's skin, and the ingredient in the food is causes a reaction in you and your son.

Is anyone else in your household affected? Examine your puppy's belly, does it look dirty? Little black flecks? How about the bedding, any little black flecks there? Fleas are pretty tiny, you usually won't see them, but if puppy has fleas you will see the "flea dirt" that they leave behind, which is actually their feces (they bite the skin and eat the blood). A single flea bite can cause a severe allergic reaction in both canines and humans. If you suspect that the dirt on your doggie is flea dirt, take a white paper towel and wipe it off, then lay the paper towel flat on the table. Drop a few drops of water on the dirt. If it turns red, that's flea dirt.

If you aren't sure about the fleas, you can give puppy a good flea bath (flea shampoo can be bought just about any place that sells dog shampoo). Take puppy to the vet and tell the vet to examine him for fleas. If fleas are not the problem, the vet can help you determine exactly what it is about this little guy that is causing you to itch so much!

      Good luck!

  49. QUESTION:
I have a small black bump on the lip of my vagina?
It just appeared like 3 months ago. Its very small like the size of a small mole. It doesn't hurt or itch. I thought it was a mole until I squeezed it and it started to bleed like crazy. A little white ball like came out as well. I have no idea what it is. There is only one.

    • ANSWER:
It sounds like a clogged pore or hair follicle more akin to a whitehead than a pimple. If as you say there was a small hard core versus pus when squeezed it is more than likely nothing to worry over. I would keep an eye on it. If you are overly concerned make an appointment with your gynecologist.
