  1. QUESTION:

    • ANSWER:
I removed a skin tag from a sensitive area using an all natural cream called dermatend and had great results.

You can see all the pictures and stories on the website bellow that i made to document it all.

  2. QUESTION:
How to get rid of skin tags?
I am getting skin tags all over my body. Is there an over the counter medication that will work without going to a dermatologist to get them removed?

    • ANSWER:
I have removed a skin tag at home using dermatend.

Dermatend is a paste that you put on the mole and it turns it into a scab. When it falls off it leaves fresh skin underneath and it does not come back. (it works on moles warts and skin tags)

I have a website I created with my before and after pictures using this product. I have a link below.

Its really worth it and I wish i knew about it before I let a doctor give me a huge scar on my back removing a mole. ugh

good luck! youll be glad you went this route!

Hopefully you can see the picture..... But if u can' t then is that thing that the dad eats in one bite.. Um, the big pale blob with things that look kind of like skin tags and juice oozing out of it? And that other food that the mom eats. I think it might be chicken, but it is some kind of BBQ meat (I think) and they eat the bones. Thanks! ><

    • ANSWER:
Keep in mind that it's a cartoon, so it might not be real food...
But, I think the food might be some sort of egg (looks like there's egg yolk running from it), and the other one, I agree, it looks like some sort of bbq'd item.

is this threatening to his health, or the health of any of the other pups in the litter? can this puppy still be sold? can they be removed?

    • ANSWER:

  5. QUESTION:
Does having a skin tag removed hurt? and how do they do it?
I have a skin tag on my shoulder and it's not big but im going to the doctors and they're gonna remove it but i hate pain and im worried its going to hurt. I just want to know how they can take it off and if it hurts? I really hate pain and when people say it doesn't hurt it normally does hurt for me.
So does it hurt and how can they take it off? I'm 14 btw if that makes any difference to how they remove it.

    • ANSWER:
Before doing that, make sure you've seen a doctor & get consultation, if they're cancerous or not.

Then, by all means, do them yourself. I did that to my friend who does hair @ the senior center, and I did that to my mom who had many on her face, but only one that was bigger than the other bled. I just stuck a Band-Aid and it healed 30mins. - 1 hr. later.

Burn a pair of sharp scissors, one you know that can cut 'leather', using a match. Let cool. Hold the skin tag, and snip. Takes less than a second, and the 'patient' won't even feel a thing, just a poke. Anything larger than a circle on the YAHOO logo (above), will hurt. Those can be burn, but doctors, and may leave a permanent mark.

Sunscreen will not protect you from getting burned.

Sunscreen will only make your moles or freckles larger, bumpier & darker, if you have them already. Not just moles, but freckles, skin tags, seborrheic keratoses, Discoid Lupus, Bullous Pemphegoid, Lentigo (Google search them) and lentigines -- nearly always non-cancerous skin lesions

Sunscreen will not protect you from skin cancer.

Sunscreen will not protect you if you have allergies, I never thought I had allergies!

Sunscreens also discolor your skin - for ever!

Sunscreen blocks Vitamin D as well.

But I had Discoid Lupus caused from the sun. Google it. Took 12 years for mine to almost 'fade'. I don't want any more lupus appearing on my skin, so now I'm more & more into protecting myself.

I'm the kind of person who has families with moles as large as raisin-size. I don't want moles on my body, so I always have been concern about that. But, how I got lupus? I don't know! I got it period.

The sun is more powerful than most people think.

Can anyone identify the issue with this cat?
Cats approx. 6 months old, just found it wondering about outside. Had a few ticks on him, I removed them. Thing that concerns me is on his right side, right above his from leg join, there's two tan-colored bumps. They kinda look like beans, or skin tags. I peeled off a scar close towards my temple on the upper right side of my forehead from a chemical burn from a relaxer I used. How long should it take for my skin to return to its normal state? Right now I see a thin area of skin missing. What can I use for this to go back to normal? Thanks.

Adam Lambert has the worst acne scars. JLo, even Demi Moore have been seen with scars on their faces during interviews. Seal, the musician, Heidi Klum's ex have you seen the scar on his face? Demi in October 2012 issue of 'People magazine, showed her freckles (acne?) on the cover and inside article photo showed she had them removed but there was a 'hole' and no makeup could fill that in. How about Jennifer Hudson 'flea beaten scars' on her legs, as if she had itched them and got infected. I had some of those when I was a kid. Just as recently as October, I had a tiny spider (?) bite where my watch was, and after 2 weeks, it was dried and I thought it was healing, so I peeled it. Even though it was covered by my watch, there is a tiny freckle there now, but it had heeled, except it was darker. I should just let it fall off, when it was time instead of 'rushing it, exposing tender skin. This is now Dec and the freckle is not going away. By January and I could hardly see it. Even though I eat healthy, I am not one of those that heal fast. When I had bunion surgery, I was told it could take 3 months, it took me 3 years! LOL Anyway . . . with all their money they're making now, even beauty products can't do anything about their faces or should I say scars.
Avoid too much sun exposure, so it won't make your scars even DARKER permanently. Skin heals. So let your skin heals.

Sunscreens or lotions does not protect you from nasty, painful burns. Lotions does not protect you from skin cancer. Lotions does not protect you from skin diseases. Lotions does not protect you from discolorations - permanently. And lotions does not protect you from skin tags, freckles, moles, they will only get larger, darker, and bumpier as they are exposed from UV.

Hair-straightening products are allowed to contain small concentrations of formaldehyde (0.2 percent). But several hair-straightening solutions have been found to contain well above the allowable limit. For example, one popular hair-straightening product that advertised itself as “formaldehyde-free” actually contained 6.8 percent to 11.8 percent formaldehyde.

  8. QUESTION:
What are some good tanning supplies for fair skinned people ?
I'm fair skinned and self consious about it . I need to start tanning but I need something that will work . I'm blonde haired and blue eyed so it won't be easy . I hate it . Please help !

Pale complexion don't tan, they burn.
Tanning comes & go, unless you do them everyday 24/7 for the rest of your life. But in the end the only thing you'll benefit is either moles, freckles, skin tags or discolorations from sunscreens, lotions, etc. and the more you do, the more they get larger, darker & bumpier. The study specifically found that a tanning bed user that used the radiation to treat a mild skin rash caused by an ibuprofen allergy developed a much more severe reaction called toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). When left untreated, TEN can be fatal.

  10. QUESTION:
My penis frenulum tore, now there is excess skin on the head of my penis. What should I do?
Hello yahoo answers, and thank you in advance!
About a year or so ago, while having very rough (and drunk) sex with my girlfriend something went wrong and I tore my penis frenulum pretty bad. There was lots of pain and a little blood and about two months of attempts at sex that went pretty terribly due to the pain of the tear. I would like to add that I was living with very little income and no health insurance so seeing a doctor or specialist was completely out of the question at the time.
It took about two weeks of no sex and being super careful with my foreskin but it finally healed and I was pain free, which is pretty awesome! However since it has healed there is a little flap of excess skin on the underside of my penis that has no feeling what so ever. It's like a skin tag or something, I have no idea what this is called because I didn't go to medical school and can't seem to find the right words to search for on google to link you to a good picture of a similar condition (You're lucky, it looks gross).
So my questions are: Are there any health risks with this old frenulum skin hanging on? Is it possible to have this removed? and if it is possible what doctor should I go to to and around how much should I expect to pay to have it removed?
Any information help, even some proper medical terms or push in the right direction to find more info.

How do you get paler skin naturally?
I'm quite tanned, but I hate it and I would like paler skin. I don't want any thing that's chemically altered like getting the whitening injection thing that Michael Jackson got, but maybe if someone could give the name of a cream or something.

    • ANSWER:
Number one rule: stay out of the sun. Like Mario Lopez, he's a Mexican descent, but he won't even stand outside in the sun to do a photo shoot for a tanning lotion. Julianne Moore is one of those, who like to protect her skin from AGING. She walks in the shade. I grow up in Asia for 13 years, so I was dark, but it took more than 13 years to the color I have now.

Your tan will fade after several months even years, depends how old you are now.

I've been protecting myself from the sun since I was 9.

      1. Because I don't want to look like a farmer.
      2. Because I get too hot.
      3. I want to look like movie stars & models, they have blemish-free skins.
      4. I don't want to look like an old prune or get moles on my neck & face like my aunts.

No matter, I still got Discoid Lupus (Google it), caused from the sun. It took 12 years for them to fade. Tried all kinds of lotions that were prescribed to me, and none of them worked. More & more now I protect myself and I take my wide brim hat everywhere I go, or use an umbrella. Floppy hats are back in style. In Asia, they use umbrella all the time. Here in the States, people started to catch on, and I see people walking w/umbrella, they are used on the beach, and they sell patio umbrellas. It was invented for a reason and also to protect us from getting skin cancer. Wear long jackets, or denim a lot. Even inside a car, the heat alone from the sun can tan anyone.

While in HS, I frequently wear a floppy hat. Thank God, those are now back again! I've use a wide brim hat, even in the car to avoid glare. Long drives I put a blanket over the window, and my umbrella comes with me everywhere.

      RE SKIN LIGHTENING:
The FDA have banned 23 more whitening products. Google it. About 17,600,000 results.
The reason cited for the proposed ban is that studies in rodents show "some evidence" that hydroquinone may act as a carcinogen or cancer-causing chemical, although its cancer-causing properties have yet to be proved in humans. Hydroquinone also has been linked with the medical condition known as ochronosis in which the skin becomes dark and thick. Dome-shaped yellowish spots and grayish-brown spots also are observed in ochronosis among black women and men in South Africa, Britain, and the U.S. Ochronosis has been observed in conjunction with hydroquinone use even in persons who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics for a short time. Some studies also report abnormal function of the adrenal glands and high levels of mercury in people who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics. For these reasons, hydroquinone has already been banned in Japan, the European Union, and Australia.

Any skin-lightening products containing hydroquinone would be considered new drugs, according to the proposed FDA regulations. The products would require FDA approval before being sold to the public and would only be available with a doctor's prescription.

  14. QUESTION:
How do I know if this is normal or not?
I am not sure if this is normal or not but my urethral sponge seems weird to me. Its not flat like some pictures show. When I am dry its like its actually trying to come out of me. When I am moist I notice it but not like I do when I am dry. When I masturbate it always seems to be there aroused or not. It looks like a pair of lips making a kissy face or someone trying to be a fish. I also noticed that it has a lump of skin that could be a cyst or a skin tag. This lump doenst hurt unless I pinch at it. I have had this issue for about two years and always thought it was normal. I am seventeen now and I have never had sex. When I cough or sneeze I can feel the bulge (urethral sponge) move and push toward the front. I can go to the bathroom but the flow in my urine always changes again I have always had this issue as well so never really thought anything of it. I have noticed that for the last week and a half I have been having abdominal cramps but just put that as related to stress. I can apply pressure to the sponge and it doesnt hurt just makes me feel like I have to use the bathroom. I felt around and nothing seems different except the fact that my cervix has moved facing the back wall. I also feel this round like bulge with what seems to be ridges. I also notice this before my period which doesnt start for about another week or so. I am not sure if my urethral sponge is normal or not and kind of needreassurancee as I am sort ofembarrassedd about this whole thing.

    • ANSWER:
From what I've read, you are very normal.

The urethral sponge is what makes you reach ejaculation.
Not all women can do this, or like to do this. But stimulation
of your urethral sponge results in a feeling of urination, but
its not urine. It is a substance sorta similar to a man's semin,
      but more watery.

Contrast this with your clitoris, where you reach orgasm or
orgasm feelings. The two (urethral sponge and clitoris
stimulation) can result in a super orgasm experience.
      Sorta like double !

Yet, many women do not like the feeling of urethral sponge stimulation.
This is mostly because they haven't found that exact right spot
      (sometimes called the g-spot)
and exact pressure that experimentation brings.

So, once 'learned', its a double experience !
Orgasm and Ejaculation for women !

Damn ! Men only enjoy ejaculation !

      Enjoy !

Hi all, I m almost 30 years, but I have problem related to brown spots on my skin, especially around cheek, cheekbone and lower eyelid. My skin is sensitive and allergic. Please tell me remove them naturally or homemade tips.

    • ANSWER:
Could mean: You've had a self-tanner mishap...or you have a benign condition called melasma that's often associated with oral contraceptives, says Dina D. Strachan, M. D., a dermatologist in New York City. Doctors aren't sure why some birth-control pills cause these dark patches on the forehead, cheeks, or upper lip, but they do know UV exposure makes them worse.

For one thing: Oral contraceptives can upset your skin, since hormones in BCP make pigment cells more sensitive to the sun, resulting in brown blotches.
Doctor's advice: Talk to your doctor about switching to a low-dose estrogen formula, like Yaz or Ortho Tri-Cycles Lo, or the non-estrogen type of contraception known as the mini pill, says Sundaram. Wearing sunscreen will also help. "If you've had hyperpigmentation on the pill, you're likely to be sensitive during a pregnancy too." she says. In bulk cases, higher levels of hormones are to blame.

  17. QUESTION:
How to take care of my acne and dark spots?
I'm fifteen years old and I have many dark spots from previous break outs. I don't really have a lot of pimples just spots, but I don't have any bad indents in the skin. My skin is also very dry even though I dont put any acne product on it and i moisturize it daily. Also I wear makeup almost every day unless i'm not going out. I'm currently taking a prescribed pill and daily skin vitamins to get rid of my acne and I wash it in the morning and at night, but is there anything else I can do? Usually about once a week I also use pore strips and do a few masks as well, so I should have good or at least better skin. But despite all this my skin still breaks out occasionally and I still have spots. Any tips?

    • ANSWER:
Update it's January now, and I could hardly see it. Anyway . . . with all their money they're making now, even beauty products can't do anything about their faces or should I say scars.
Avoid too much sun exposure, so it won't make your scars even DARKER. Skin heals. So let your skin heals.

Any kind of facial wash, you're leaving something toxic behind, it's not a matter of convenience, it's a billion dollar business that can do more harm than good to your acne. And sometimes we feel entirely virtuous about our skin-care regimen because it's full of SPF-- all year round!-- and cleansers and such. But the truth is, we may not realize that we're overdoing (or underdoing) something that can lead to the very thing we're trying to avoid: dryness, breakouts, accelerated aging, New York dermatologist Dr. Jeannette Graf. SELF-TANNERS: "I've had many patients who think these products somehow offer UV protection or that they give them a 'base tan' so they won't burn," says Dr. Hale, a NYC M.D., dermatologist and vice chair of the Skin Cancer Foundation. But a lot of young women use these products so they don't look pale when they go to the beach to tan." 86% of women surveyed who use self-tanners reported they'd also baked in the sun, and 36% admitted they'd also used tanning beds (a leading cause of melanoma!) at least once in the past year. Australian study confirms that sunless tanning likely did not reduce the amount of UV exposure women get.

  19. QUESTION:
What's the perfect age to start a beauty regime like this?
My daughter is 15 years old and due to her daily under the sun activities in school, her skin darkened and I observed sun burns on her face. I've decided to let her use iWhite korea moisturizers. You will get burned, no matter what anyway, since sunscreen does NOT protect you from the heat of the sun.

Read the label. The SPF or sun protection factor, relates solely to the degree of protection a formula provides against UVB rays. UVBs known as the 'burning rays, vary seasonally (peaking around noon), damage the superficial layer of the dermis (which may contribute to skin cancer), and generally result in a sunburn. UVA rays - which account for 95% of the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the Earth's surface, and which cut through clouds and glass year-round - are somewhat stealthier. These are the ones that have a longer wavelength, allowing them to penetrate deeper into the skin, destroying collagen and elastin, which contributes to photo-aging (sagging skin, wrinkles), and triggering cell mutations, which may initiate skin cancer. ~ Vogue May or June 2011 issue.

  21. QUESTION:
How long will it take to tan?
I know that I'm able to tan, as I have done so in the past when I was a kid. Like everyone, my skin tone would fluctuate based on the time of year and how much I went outside. I lived in Houston and some summers I was outside quite a bit (I swam, played with friends, etc), so consequently I had a nice tan. Other years I would stay inside more often playing video games. After I turned 13 this was the case more often. Between ages 13 and 18 I only achieved a tan of some sorts a couple of times. The rest of the time I was either pale (will get to my skin type in a second) or had a little color.

Family history if you think it's necessary, if not skip down to the background on myself: My dad has light brown hair and was able to tan, but it took him a while. He has a natural red hue to his skin and his side of the family isn't know for being tan. He's the only one on his immediate side of his family that has a tan and can tan. It just takes him a while. During his time in Vietnam (he did two tours over there) he was very tan, and stayed that way for a while (when not over on a tour he lived in San Diego). His family also has freckles. He doesn't have any on his face anymore (not since he was a kid), but he has them on his arms etc. I had a few freckles (not man) when I was a kid, but not anymore. I have freckles nowhere else.

My mom's the tan side. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and as you can imagine, can tan well although she doesn't stay out long enough anymore to tan. Her dad was very tan and would get darker just walking outside to get the paper. The rest of her family has been able to achieve a tan. She has six brothers and sister with varying traits. Most have blue eyes (two don't), and 2/3 of them have brown hair. The other 1/3 have blonde hair.

Background on myself: My natural skin color (with no sun whatsoever) I would place at about an 11, maybe 12. My hair color is medium brown, maybe a bit darker, and my eye color is blue. I've only had freckles when I was a kid, and only a few. I no longer have them. From my experience when I was younger (and this may be everyone), once I get a base tan I can tan easily without burning. One summer we went to Phoenix, Arizona. I went with a base tan and 3 days later I had a really nice tan.

As far as burning goes, I was in Hawaii last April with just a little bit of color (just enough to not make me look ghastly pale, but still light colored) and it took me about 45 minutes without any sunscreen to get a little burned. I hardly burned, though, it didn't bother me. However, my feet got burned really bad after going out on a boat for 4 hours without any socks or shoes on.

Anyways, my question is how often should I tan outside, what type of sunscreen should I use? Where I live now the sun usually isn't that intense (I live in Tennessee now). I can lay out on my roof for about an hour with no sunscreen on and not get burned. It gets in the mid 60's in March (although cold spells can happen), so I plan to start laying outside then. By April I'll be golden and it will be warm enough to go outside whenever. Also, my job now causes me to take frequent trips outside. During a slow day I may spend 1-2 hours outside. During a fast day I can spend up to 5-6 hours outside. I have to wear a shirt, but I can wear shorts. So my calves, face, neck, and arms will get a little more sun during that time.

So, how long should I tan outside for, how often, and how long would you estimate it would take to establish a base tan. I'd like to get as tan as possible because I'm moving to California late in the summer. So I essentially have from March to the first day of August to tan.
Sur La Me: Thanks for the info. I know the risks associated with tanning.

  22. QUESTION:
I Have A Black Mole And has been there for a while, do i have skin cancer?
I really believe that i have skin cancer. I have a mole on my neck, that is solid black, with a skin tag growing right in the center of it, and skin tags growing all around it. The Black Mole has been there for almost 2 years now. The Mole is Small(Ish) It is less than half the size of a pencil eraser. Should i still go to the doctor? Could it be treatable? I am afraid that it has spread, WOULDN'T it have killed me by now if it was cancer? If i do go to the doctor, could they remove it and would i be okay? PLEASE only serious answers. Please don't say anything like" Go to your doctor" I plan to, but i want to know something right now that could possibly help me. PLEASE help.

    • ANSWER:
Aaron, Everything the good doctor has told you in the above answer needs to be considered. One thing about moles is that they can and do change but very slowly, it is when they start to change rapidly that it is more concerning. Since you are under age 18 you will need your parent(s) to call and make a doctor appointment for you to get this examined and authorize any treatments, so I suggest sitting down tomorrow morning and talking with one of them about taking care of this.

Another good thing would be to start a health journal (I advise this to all teens who take an active role in their own health care). In your journal paste a picture or tracing, along with measurements of each of your moles and oddities about your body (more will come with every year--sad but true), so they are documented for future reference, should something like this happen with another one of your blemishes.
I wish you al the best

A new study conducted by the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Dermatology has found that tanning bed exposure can be dangerous when tanners self-diagnose skin problems and use the radiation to treat skin eruptions. The study specifically found that a tanning bed user that used the radiation to treat a mild skin rash caused by an ibuprofen allergy developed a much more severe reaction called toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). When left untreated, TEN can be fatal.

  24. QUESTION:
How do I get rid of plantar warts between my toes?
I assume it's a plantars wart. They are so small and I can hardly see them, but they cause me intense pain when I walk. It's a small little dot and doesn't look anything like the pictures online. If I touch it, it feels like a bump. They are on 4 of my toes (2 on each foot) and I believe they are warts because each little painful dot is touching other. Any recomendations on a good treatment?

    • ANSWER:
There is a natural wart remover called dermatend.

You can use it at home.

It will make the wart turn into a scab and then fall off leaving fresh skin underneath.

Warts are viral though, so you should not only treat the sympton, but also the cause.

Dermatend also sells a natural immune booster that helps when taken with dermatend. This way, you will not only remove that wart, but will not get new ones.

You can read about it more on a website I have created.

(I used it for a mole and skin tag and it worked great. works on all 3 blemishes)

  27. QUESTION:
Why is the hair grown through moles faster and more bristly?
We all have moles, and we all have hair (well, most of us) and sooner or later the hair is inevitably going to peirce through the mole and grow up in the middle of it. WHY is it that the single strand of hair that does grow through the mole faster and more bristly than the hair around it?

I would post a picture, but it would only be a mole with hair, and I'm sure you all know what I mean without the graphical aid.

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the most common types of moles are skin tags, raised moles and flat moles. Benign moles are usually circular or oval and not very large, though some can be larger than the size of a typical pencil eraser. Some moles typically produce dark, coarse hair. Common mole hair removal procedures include plucking, cosmetic waxing, electrolysis, threading and cauterization.

  29. QUESTION:
How do I know if my puppy has a tick on his leg?
I tried to see what was on my dog's legs and it looked like a pink tag or something. As I tried to get closer he panicked and tried to nip at me to leave it alone. Could it be a tick, how would I take it out? Do ticks hurt? How do dogs get ticks?

    • ANSWER:
Wear rubber gloves or use a paper towel to protect your hands.
Grasp the tick very close to the skin with a pair of fine-tipped tweezers. With a steady motion, pull the tick's body away from the skin. To prevent infection, avoid crushing the tick. After tick removal, clean your dog's skin with soap and warm water.
Throw the dead tick away with your household trash or flush it down the toilet.
Never use petroleum jelly, a hot match, nail polish or other products to remove a tick.

      Hope this helps!

I never meant to suggest that it was definitely a tick... I'm just giving a suggestion on how to get rid of it if it is. The last answer is correct though, if it's pink, it's most likely not a tick. To see pictures of what ticks look like, you can go to the site I provided as my source.

  30. QUESTION:
Can I put suntan oil and then sunscreen on top and still get a good tan and protect my skin?
Okay so I am really pale and can never get a good even tan. I always get burnt and then it goes away but doesn't turn into a tan. So I'm wondering if I put suntan oil on my skin but then put sunscreen, will I get a tan but not put my skin in danger? I don't know what else to do

    • ANSWER:
No, and no. The sun & too much soaking in the tub or pool are skin's worst enemies.

If you want to get a tan, don't use sunscreen, but if you're pale you don't tan, you burn.

Tanning comes & go, unless you do them everyday 24/7 for the rest of your life. But in the end the only thing you'll benefit is either moles, freckles, skin tags or discolorations from sunscreens, lotions, etc. and the more you do, the more they get larger, darker & bumpier. My nephew had a membership in a tanning bed salon for a year. After it expired, he stopped, now he's as white as before he began.

In a previous version of this story, we attributed information about the Banana Boat spray valve's problem to an email from the company. That information was actually in an online corporate recall statement and an FDA recall statement.

We also previously implied that a ban on SPFs higher than 50 was included in the final regulations, but it is a proposal that has not been made final.

Melanoma is the leading cause of death from skin disease. An estimated 76,259 new cases of skin cancer will be reported particularly among women in their 20's & 30's, and that's 6,020 more than 2011, people died from the disease, according to the National Cancer Institute. Two million people are diagnosed with skin cancer in the US each year, according to the EPA's Sun-Wise Program. That's more than breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer cases combine! Now however, a recently published study suggests that those people with ginger hair and fair complexions face a much higher risk of developing dead skin cancer even if they are completely protected.

What else do i need to have other then a license to go hunting?
When i am 18 i am gonna get my hunting license and whatever else i need to go big game hunting i plan on purchasing a 30-06 remington 700 but can you tell me all the info i need on what i must have to be able to go to other provinces in canada and go hunting for lets say deer and what not. How do i get tags? what do i need?

    • ANSWER:
First thing you need to do is get your Hunter Education class scheduled NOW, because they fill up fast and if you wait till even May there might not be any available. The rifle and cartridge combination are a great choice. Find factory ammo your gun likes with 165 grain Bonded Core bullets for hunting and anything cheap in the same weight for practice. If you know someone to hand load even better. You need a good scope on the rifle; Nikon Pro Staff and Leupold VXII are normally the starting points for scopes. Keep the scope 3-9 40mm with a simple Niko-plex or Duplex reticule; no Bullet Drop Compensator or Mil-Dots, they just muddy up the sight picture. Sight in 2 inches high at 100 yards and you are right on at 200. It is a lot easier to aim right on at 100 yards and know you might be a little high than to be at 250 and not even be close. i prefer the Leupold bases and rings, they seem more solid.
you need 2 decent knives, one good sized for the heavier work and a smaller drop point knife for skinning. You should have a small sharpening stone or steel because the knives get dull. Practice with the rifle, and find targets that show the internal anatomy of the game animals you plan on hunting. "The Perfect Shot" for North American or African animals is a great resource to study if you can find one at a library, or similar books that explain shoot placement. Most people can drop an deer, elk or moose while it is standing broadside to them, you need to know where to hit if the angle isn't perfect. Binoculars are always a good investment----DON'T use your scope instead of binoculars!!!.
Those are the basics, but reading up on hunting and maybe even finding a reloading manual is good research too.

Best way to get healthy skin, nails and hair?
Best way to get healthy skin, nails and hair?

I have really thin brittle nails which means I have to keep them short as they will snap. I also get spotty occasionally and do not have the best skin. I also want my hair to grow... Not asking for much!!
How can I improve my body heath to get sucess?

SKIN: Number one rule stay out of the sun, at least 90% of the day. Take the Skin Picture Quiz - Identify These Common Skin Conditions on MedicineNet.

Too much sun & soaking in the tub, are the skin's worst enemies. Exfoliate with a wash cloth, using bath & body wash, every time you take a shower.

NAILS: If you've got thin brittle nails . . . .Hubby, my SIL and their mom ALL have the same nails and break easily and hubby and I have eaten the same foods for over 39 years. Then it's from your genes. Get a manicure to a good salon, or do them yourself. You can protect them by using one of those plastic gloves. I use gloves often: for chores, gardening, handling papers, going outside during winter, spring & fall, and kitchen, painting, crafting, etc. That way I don't have to wash my hands often.

HAIR: Also needs protected from the sun, to avoid discolorations from sunburned, and drying up more. Wear a floppy hat. Don't wash in hot water. Avoid chemicals, and washing often. Remember: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to 'abuse'. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.

How long can my skin keep the tan?
I'm fair skinned and have been working on a tan for the past week and a half (and I'm being safe with plenty of sun screen and I have not gotten any sun burn) and I'm actually starting to notice color which is a big achievement :) and I'm going to the beach at the end of June and then right after the beach I am going to Pratt university in Brooklyn for an art college program and I will be gone for 4 weeks. If I continually use lotion and exfoliate my skin once a week.. Will I still have some of my color when I get back? I know I won't have all of it.. But I don't wanna be ghostly white and have to start all over :(

Sunscreen will not protect you from skin cancer.

Sunscreen will not protect you if you have allergies, I never thought I had allergies!

Sunscreens also discolor your skin - for ever!

Sunscreen blocks Vitamin D as well.

Many beauty & hair products now have LABEL INGREDIENTS and DISCLAIMERS, specially makeup, they are required to put labels so consumers are aware to watch for chemicals: DBP, TITANIUM, MERCURY, HYDROQUINONE, or Toluene solvent, that causes cancer or harm us. In other words, less is MORE.

What's the best fake tan for really fair skin?
I'm really pale and I just get sunburned... I'm looking for the best fake tan for my pale skin that doesn't make me orange or too dark (: The price doesn't matter.

    • ANSWER:
I'll let the experts tell you about it.
SELF-TANNERS: "I've had many patients who think these products somehow offer UV protection or that they give them a 'base tan' so they won't burn," says Dr. Hale, a NYC M.D., dermatologist and vice chair of the Skin Cancer Foundation. "'If I have skin cancer, you'll just remove it, and I'll be OK'. But the color that self-tanners create on your skin is completely artificial.

Scars can turn dark PERMANENTLY if they've been exposed from the sun.

Tanning, is a result for 'damaged skin' and no products can reverse you from skin cancer or damaged skin, may prevent you from pre-mature aging, but that's part of the billion dollar beauty industry.

Sunscreen will not protect you from getting burned.

Sunscreen does not protect you from getting moles or freckles, they will only get darker & bumpier or larger from each exposure from the sun.

Sunscreen will not protect you from skin cancer.

Sunscreen will not protect you if you have allergies, I never thought I had allergies!

Sunscreens also discolor your skin - for ever!

Sunscreen also is flammable after it is on your skin. A Massachusetts man said he suffered second-degree burns from a grill after applying sunscreen aerosol spray on parts of his body.

But I had Discoid Lupus caused from the sun. Google it. Took 12 years for mine to almost 'fade'. I don't want any more lupus appearing on my skin, so now I'm more & more into protecting myself. Bullous Pemphegoid is another skin disorder. Google that, too!

I'm the kind of person who has families with moles as large as raisin-size. I don't want moles on my body, so I always have been concern about that. But, how I got lupus? I don't know! I got it period.

  48. QUESTION:
How does Google images determine if a picture is for adults?
In google images, you can adjust the filter to display different levels offensive imagery (i.e. nudity, profanity, etc), but with the millions maybe billions of images online, how is it managed? Is there a google department in charge of surfing the internet to flag images? Or is it simply an algorithm of some sort?

If you're just going to guess, how about you just don't answer!

    • ANSWER:
Google does have a user powered program that gets people to 'tag' random images for fun in their spare time. The more times an image is tagged with related keywords, the more confident Google can be that the image is what people are saying it is, and eventually those tags will be used to find that picture in the search results.

This is not the only way Google does it though. They do have computer algorithms that analyze and sort images very efficiently (it's the only way possible, even a team of hundreds of users could never tag every image out there).

Google Images also has an option to search for images with faces. I believe this uses the same algorithm used in Google Street View to identify and blur faces. Some people comment on the fact that it's pretty good at picking up faces even when they are not real, in one case the logo for KFC was blurred.

The algorithm for safe filtering is not perfect though... there are still things that can get through, especially if you use unusual search terms. I am studying Computer Science at University and in my opinion, the safe search option is done using a combination of algorithms and human intervention to help remove offending content that was not caught by the system automatically (as I noted earlier, this can only be done for a limited number of popular search terms though, so not everything gets filtered).

The algorithm most likely uses one of two methods (or both):
      A) Identify the image as safe or not by determining whether the webpage it is hosted on is 'safe'. This is most likely done by analyzing words on the page in a similar way to how Google indexes pages in the text search. This can't be the only way since I know of websites that have completely unrelated text that don't have their images show up in the 'safe' search.
      B) Attempt to identify pornography by either measuring the ratio of skin-tone colours to non skin-tones (i.e. try to determine how much 'skin' is showing) or using object recognition to identify 'offending' areas of the human body such as breasts or genitalia.

I should also mention that there is a report feature users can utilize to report offending images. This also helps filter out much of 'unsafe' images from popular search terms.

  49. QUESTION:
My minor cuts never fully heal, what can I use to make them go away?
I have rather fair skin. So small cuts do heal, but then they stop and you can see the "scar," if that's what it is. I just think it's weird for such weak cuts to leave scars. So is there anything I can use to make them fully go away from now on? Thanks.

    • ANSWER:
I still have small scars from all the flea bites (they're not deep either - but they got infected when I scratched them) when I was a kid.

Scars are hard, I've seen scars from my HS classmates in the 70's, who still have them today!

Adam Lambert has the worst acne scars. With all the money he's making now, even beauty products can't do anything about his face.
Avoid exposure from the sun, use a floppy hat. The sun can darken them, even skin where it never saw daylight. The sun can go through clothing.

  50. QUESTION:
Can you use dark spot corrector to make yourself look paler?
Just curious. I think pale skin is beautiful and I would like to make mine lighter. Also, what would happen if you smeared it all over your face and let it sit for a while? I wearthe lightest shade of foundation so I can't use lighter foundation to make myself look lighter.
BQ: Are their other, safe ways to make myself paler?
    ...

    • ANSWER:
      I wouldn't if I were you.

Either that or do your errands when the sun had gone down. Even inside a car, the sun can find you. I now have a double denim lap robe to cover myself, for longer rides.
